New Airbrush

I just got a new airbrush early this week and started doing some new t-shirts for my new website store i’m working on. i’ve neglecting making some new stuff but now i got my new toy i feel like working on that.
its been along a long time that i get a new airbrush as the last one i bought was like 3 years ago. All this time i didn’t feel the need to buy another as most of the stuff i’ve making now are stencils so i don’t need something fancy to make that stuff as long as it sprays. anyway, i started to notice some t-shirt i have made without stencils not turning that great, i even was questioning myself if i was losing airbrush skills for being so depended on stencils… jk  so instead of replacing the nozzle and needle what it usually needs to be replaced once in a while, i just get a new one of a same model i’ve been using. and woow! i feel like my airbrushing got improved.
i got so used to the old ones that i didn’t realized the performance were so worn out with the heavy use of all those years. no wondering, i have never changed the nozzle to the last one i got and i’ve just replaced the neddle one time. Those Iwata are totally the best! no wonder they are made Japan, LOL, i just wish they weren’t expensive.  next,  i think i need to start saving for the custom micron at almost $500 that ain’t cheap…

so some quick t-shirts i just did this week… and not they are not for me but i wouldn’t mind wear them. :)

PaintTool SAI
I just started my last semester of school and so far I think is going to be nice semester with tons of free time… I’m just taking Packaging and Applied Drawing, I decided no to transfer the drawing class and take it again as I just thought it maybe useful to get back in to drawing as I rarely draw those days and I’ve always wanted to start an sketchbook but I just never do, so now I’ll be forced to do so… I think my drawing skills are not as great as some people think because the true I’m such a cheater… I always use whatever tools to get the right proportions and to cut time. So most of the time I’m always sort of tracing with a projector, lightbox, drawing on top of the images on the computer, and  using a vinyl cutter with a pencil so instead of cutting, it will draw the vectors I traced on the computer…   its not that I can’t draw at all but I’m just becoming so lazy and reliant having those tools… anyway,  I still think I  can draw about the same thing if I use just my pencil and eyes and so I’m starting to fill my sketchbook  and trying at the same time the program SAI that I’m starting to like it a lot. It works great with my old Wacom Tablet…  I never heard of it before until I bumped with Pixiv, a Japanese art community full of amazing illustrations, where it seems like everybody in  there use this program…
so here is a silly quicky non-traced drawing scanned from my sketchbook and colored manly with SAI…

I love this tree scene from the thai movie The Letter....
